The Right Person at the Right Time

President Elect Barack Obama, WOW. President Elect Barack Obama won the election for every one of us.

When slave owners wrote the Declaration of Independence and included the words, "We hold these truth's to be self evident that all men are created equal," they did not envision that a Black person would be President. However, there was a higher power at work helping them write those words.

Many times in our lives our inner spirit takes over for us, wipes out all of our prejudices, and has us do something that we do not normally do. When I voted for President Elect Barack Obama it went against my Republican Party beliefs. But I felt it was time for our country to take a step forward and truly live the principal that our country is founded on that All Men are created equal.

The next step will be that all People are Created equal. Governor Sarah Palin was not the right woman at the right time. I thought at one time it would be Elizabeth Dole. In the future, when that Woman surfaces that is the right Person at the right time, I will vote for her also. I believe that will occur soon and I will not have to wait until I am 106 years like Ann Nixon Cooper.

Ann Nixon Cooper was referred to in President Elect Barack Obama election night speech. In her lifetime, she lived the words that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stated in his I have a Dream speech. "I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."

After all, isn't that why America is the greatest place on earth to live. God Bless America.
